Methodology

Every coin we track gets a Trap Score from 0–10, recomputed on closed candles from seven market factors: funding-rate extremes, volume anomalies versus baseline, rejection wicks at key levels, RSI over-extension, spread behaviour, open-interest shifts and historical trap fingerprints at the current price zone. This leaderboard ranks the highest scores among coins with at least $1M of 24h volume. The same engine powers our live scanner, public signal ledger and embeddable widget.

Frequently asked questions

How do you measure crypto manipulation?

Each coin gets a Trap Score from 0–10, computed from seven market factors — funding-rate extremes, volume anomalies, rejection wicks, RSI over-extension and related footprints that appear when smart money engineers a move. Scores above 7 mean a trap is likely in progress; below 3 means the tape looks clean. Scores are recomputed on closed candles, so the board never repaints.

Which crypto coins are manipulated the most?

It changes constantly — manipulation follows liquidity and attention, so the leaderboard above is recomputed every 15 minutes from live market data. Structurally, lower-liquidity altcoins with crowded derivatives positioning show high Trap Scores far more often than BTC or ETH, whose depth makes engineered moves expensive.

Is this list financial advice?

No. The leaderboard is educational market data: it flags where manipulation footprints are strongest right now so you can be cautious. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or short any asset. Always do your own research.

Educational market data — not financial advice. Manipulation footprints are probabilistic signals, not proof of wrongdoing by any party.
